Warning!! Beware of Raffaele Favia (faiele)

This is a page to warn users about Raffaele Favia (faiele) on ebay.

It all started last year, when I bid on and won $585 US worth of Lego from faiele. Here is that orginal listing (scanned from a fax ebay sent me - I didn't think to save the original listing in html format, as noone had ever ripped me off before).

I paid $55 US in postage, making a total of $640 US that I gave to faiele.

The lego never arrived. When I queried Raffaele, he said there had been a month delay because he hadn't filled in a customs form properly. But ultimately that I should receive the Lego around Easter this year.

Then around Easter this year I found this listing by Faiele. As you can see, apart from some baseboards, the lego sets are *identical* to the sets he "sold" me. When I queried him he said he had multiple sets of the same lego, and that he could provide postal receipts. He never did. He also never responded to my queries about what company he posted the lego with, as the tracking number he first gave me is not a valid international tracking number. This poor response from Raffaele Favia leads me to believe that he stole my money and then relisted the lego.

When I complained to ebay they said "it's past 120 days, sorry we can't help". Actually it was a lot more involved than that, but ultimately the said they couldn't do anything, so this is why I bid on the item I am leaving feedback for - partly to get faiele's contact details, and partly to provide an opportunity for me to leave feedback. I told faiele several times that I was more than willing to go ahead with the transaction, so long as we could sort out the other one first. But he never refunded my money, and I certainly wasn't going to give him any *more* money until the other matter was settled.

Congratulations to gantoys who did ultimately receive the lego - at least someone did!

Is faiele a thief? I'll let you be the judge.
